Considerate Care Caps

The story behind Considerate Care Caps
In March 2024, I was diagnosed with advanced-stage breast cancer. While I was prepared for the physical toll, nothing could have prepared me for the emotional and mental anguish—especially the experience of losing my hair. It wasn’t just about vanity; it was about identity, dignity, and control.
Wigs didn’t work for me, and the standard chemo caps felt impersonal and uninspiring. As a seamstress, I decided to create something that reflected my style, culture, and spirit—satin-lined chemo caps that not only looked beautiful but also protected sensitive scalps and hair. Soon, others began asking for them—women, men, and individuals with alopecia. That’s when I knew this was bigger than me.
Considerate Care Caps was founded to provide these custom satin-lined caps to those facing hair loss due to medical conditions.
A donation of any size will be greatly appreciated as it will go towards our efforts to contribute to the support of people dealing with hair loss.
Your support will directly fund the creation and distribution of care caps to individuals in need—restoring confidence, dignity, and a sense of self during one of the most vulnerable times in their lives.
